Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2007 for Windows
Creating a new email account
Please follow the instructions below. Make sure your settings
match those in the pictures and your email should be up and running
very quickly. (Obviously replace "username" with
your user name and "yourdomain.com" with your actual
domain name.)
1. From the Tools pull-down menu select the Accounts Settings... Option

2. Select New...

3. Select Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP and click on the Next > button.

4. Select Manually configure server settings or additional server types

5. Select Internet E-mail and Click Next >

6. On Add New E-mail Account
7. Enter Your Name
8. Enter your E-mail Address
9. Account Type: Select POP3
10. The incoming and outgoing mail server should both be your domain
name.
i.e. yourdomain.com
11. Enter the User Name for your email account.
12. Enter the Password for your email account.
NOTE: Your Username and Password are CASE SeNsItIvE!!!
13. Click on the More Settings... Button

14. The General Tab. Give this email account
a name that will help you identify it in your email account list
later. The Organization and Reply to Email fields are Optional.
When you have completed this step click on the Outgoing
Server Tab

15. IMPORTANT!!! The
check box for My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication should checked and
the Use same settings as my incoming mail server option
should be selected.
When completed click on the Advanced Tab

16. IMPORTANT!!! Change
the Outgoing Server (SMTP): to 5190 and
click on OK.
Why?? Many ISP's have started to block the relaying of email through
the default port 25. Using this alternative port allows you to
send email via your Radical Webs email account. This setting accounts
for almost 90% of all support calls so please make sure you have
yours set correctly.
Note: Your incoming server should be set to 110.

If you choose to Leave a copy of messages on the server, we recommend selecting 5 days or less.
17. You should now be back to the Add New E-mail Account window.
Simply click on the Next > button.

NOTE: DO NOT USE THE TEST ACCOUNT SETTINGS... BUTTON AS IT DOES NOT WORK WITH ALTERNATE SMTP PORTS SUCH AS 5190
18. Click on the Finish button.

19. Congratulations! Click on the Close button.

20. The moment of truth ... Click on the Send/Receive Button.
Outlook should connect to the mail server and try to Send and Receive
email. If you do not get an error message then your email is working
correctly.
